February 28 Day Challenge

Sharing is caring!

This is the last week in January… The resolution period has run out for some people, detoxes are over, or if you’re like me you didn’t participate in either.  Most people are still feeling somewhat mindful about fitness and nutrition so this is the perfect time for a daily challenge to add some motivation.  This is a month to focus on love, life, and the things that matter…. While continuing efforts to be healthier… this challenge combines the best of both worlds!

Day 1: Tell someone you love them (even if it’s yourself!)

Day 2: Enjoy an indulgent guilt free meal

Day 3: Add a veggie to your breakfast

Day 4: Breath, stretch, shake, let it go! Release any negative energy and focus on the positive

Day 5: Make some soup or other comfort food

Day 6: Go for a walk outside (even if it’s freezing and only for 5 minutes)

Day 7: Give someone a genuine compliment (not just “I like that top”)

Day 8: Try a new cuisine

Day 9: Take in the scenery around you and enjoy it

Day 10: Take a new fitness class

Day 11: Have fruit as dessert

Day 12: Bake from scratch

Day 13: Switch up your cardio

Day 14: Do something nice for someone you love

Day 15: Focus on making half your plate veggies for every meal

Day 16: Try a yoga class (if you’re an avid goer- try a new teacher or type of class)

Day 17: Write down 5 things you are thankful for

Day 18: Attempt to make a complicated recipe

Day 19: Sit quietly for 5 minutes with no people, music, tv, radio, etc.

Day 20: Have a date night (husband, gf, friend, roommate, parent, etc.)

Day 21: Wake up and do 5 minutes of yoga before doing anything else (besides using the bathroom)

Day 22: Food prep (even if it’s only a couple things)

Day 23: Make a Meatless Monday Meal for lunch or dinner

Day 24: Spend at least 5 minutes stretching (pre and post workout)

Day 25: Write down your fears

Day 26: Go vegan for the day

Day 27: Have a real conversation with every member in your immediate family today (near or far)

Day 28: Write down 5 things you love about yourself

Now I’ll be honest- I’m pretty bad at following challenges- usually I’m good for the first week and then I fall off the wagon…  (Plus I’ll be in MIA for part of the first week of this challenge) but I’ll try to post some of the days that would be picturesque to help you guys to follow along, but tag @dietitianjess on instagram or tweet me @dietitian_jess if you want to share anything awesome you’re doing with me! Good luck and enjoy 🙂
