No this is not sponsored by AirBnB I just generally stay in one while traveling and they are awesome- have the added bonus of a kitchen or more space which is great for eating right and working out! We stayed in hotels for about 1/3 of the trip and did AirBnB the rest which worked out well. Even though the hotel rooms were small I still was able to do a quick workout.
My goal while traveling to Italy was basically to squeeze in a 15-30 minute workout most days before showering for the day or before dinner. This worked out pretty well and I did a good job of keeping myself accountable. I brought a resistance band which was a great piece of light and small equipment to use while traveling. We walked EVERYWHERE while we were in each city so it was easy to get a lot of miles in and time on our feet but that’s not really enough exercise for me- I need something that gets my heart racing a bit. It just gives me a more calm and focused outlook for the day. I’ll also add here I did not limit myself in anyway food wise… I generally eat mindfully and listen to my cravings so if my body wanted a salad I had one, if it wanted pasta for lunch and dinner I ate it. I’ll talk more about this in another post. But yes, so lots of walking… and we did a serious hike one day (can’t wait to share pics from that!), paddleboarding, kayaking, etc. So lots of activity going on… but a quick workout to keep on track…. I did some variation of this workout at least 4 times in the two weeks we were gone. If you’re traveling this summer it’s definitely something worth trying!
