how to eat intuitively

As a Registered Dietitian eating mindfully is one of my favorite topics to share with my audience and it may be a totally new concept to some of you.  I’m an anti-diet dietitian… I don’t believe in restrictions or counting calories.  I don’t think food should be a reward no matter what your age.  It breaks my heart and hurts my head when I see posts on Facebook with weight loss frustrations or another failed diet.  We hire professionals to fix our car or fill a cavity but many people are reluctant to work with dietitians or fear we are the food police. That couldn’t be further from the truth and in this week’s focus for my wellness challenge we will explore nourishing our bodies both physically and mentally through intuitive or mindful eating.
