Hi, Friends! Hope everyone had a good time over the weekend (and a nice Easter if you celebrate!) I’m headed out of town this weekend for another celebration (a wedding and our anniversary) so I wanted to make sure in the midst of all this fun, my workouts are on track.
Most people start out the year super motivated and sticking to their goals but by spring, it’s time to check in with yourself. One of my big goals this year is competing in a half ironman which is a huge athletic challenge. It’s important to make sure I’m not only swimming, biking, and running weekly but also that I’m keeping up with my strength training so I can avoid injury. After a couple of subpar boot camp classes (see my post last week on my fitness instructor pet peeves) this week I’m getting back into lifting on my own so I figured I would share the workout I did last night that included an upper body circuit and lower body circuit. I did each exercise 10 times and did 3 rounds of each circuit. (Again- just a reminder I’m not a personal trainer or fitness instructor I’m just sharing my workouts based on my experience).
Are you staying on track with your spring goals? Training for any fun races!?
