The hardest part of creating this recipe was choosing the flavor pita to use- they have white, low carb, sweet onion, multi grain, sprouted whole wheat, savory garlic, oat bran, and whole wheat. To find a location near you and scope out your favorite flavor click here.

Pitas are a great way to have all of your favorite foods stuffed into a delicious pocket- making consumption even easier.  With some recent warm weather I decided to make some Tofu BBQ. Well sorry friends but I think I jinxed it since it ended up snowing this past week and they are calling for even more next week. Fail.

Anyways I made a homemade BBQ sauce and sauteed the tofu in it then all the smoky sweet flavor was added to a pita. Making the BBQ sauce myself really made the flavor even better. I used the muligrain pita but you could use any of the multiple flavors Toufayan offers. I’m particularly in love with the sweet onion. tofu bbq
